After the first quarter is already over, we want to evaluate the start of 2026 at Uptrip. Which Uptrip collections are actually worth it? Which initiatives promised in our exclusive Uptrip interview have been implemented? And what kind of feedback are we seeing from users?
More Uptrip collections – but also better ones?
As announced in the interview, Uptrip has increased its pace. Since February, we have at least been receiving two newsletters with new offers. So far in 2026, there have been quite a variety of redemption options:
- In January, Discover Airlines was featured for the first time, including a giveaway for free flights
- In February, Uptrip introduced partner integrations (Wolt & Free2Move)
- There was a re-release of the popular 20 Qualifying Points collection (5 × 20 points, but only the first redemption is free)
- At the beginning of March, Eurowings vouchers took center stage, along with internet vouchers and the Swiss Wanderlust aircraft model
- At the end of March, Uptrip added Brussels Airlines to the collections, again including a flight giveaway, flight vouchers, and an aircraft model
- In between, the Miles & More spin-off also ran a joker card sale
Not every offer has convinced us. In particular, the partner deals could be more attractive. That was already a weak point last year. However, the fact that more partner airlines are now being included is, in our view, a very positive development.
Of course, the Qualifying Points are always very welcome. The paid multiple redemption option (20 €) for up to an additional 80 points and Qualifying Points can be especially worthwhile if you expect to be short of points needed for frequent flyer status within your yearly plan.ollte sich insbesondere dann lohnen, wenn in der Jahresplanung zum Vielfliegerstatus absehbar noch Punkte fehlen werden.
Uptrip changes the collection design

Anyone who has used the Uptrip app by Miles & More more frequently will have noticed that the “Collections” tab has been redesigned. The launch was somewhat bumpy. It felt like watching the developers fix bugs and optimize the app live…
By now, the design appears to be stable. While the colors and visuals feel fresher, the design still does not fully convince us even after several weeks. On iPhones, some elements still seem poorly aligned and, in some cases, even cut off.
Even though the big breakthrough has not yet happened and the much-announced redesign of the marketplace is still pending, we can still see the effort as something positive overall.
More special campaigns?
n our interview, Uptrip boldly announced more “special campaigns.” So far, we have only seen the special card for Lufthansa’s 100th anniversary. However, we have not come across this card anywhere yet. We would be happy to receive any tips or submissions from readers.
Overall, we would still like to see significantly more in this area.
ITA Airways, collector focus & more
Many other topics Uptrip announced have not yet been implemented:
- ITA Airways has officially announced that it will join Miles & More. At this point, full integration of ITA with Uptrip should no longer be an obstacle. We have of course inquired and will report back!
- The announced “collector focus” is still not clearly visible to us.
- The supposedly essential role of NFT technology seems to be getting little further attention. On the contrary – as has often been the case, NFTs could not be redeemed directly for new collections.
Customer service – a new problem area?
We are receiving reports – also via social media – that it has become more difficult to reach customer service. Responses can take a long time, sometimes weeks. I have personally experienced this as well: resolving a technical issue (missing NFT cards) has now been pending for four months.
Conclusion – start of 2026 at Uptrip
Uptrip is offering more and more diverse offers, which should appeal to a broader audience. At the same time, however, the app is still leaving some potential untapped. Progress in development is moving slowly. The fact that customer service seems to be approaching the general Miles & More standard is, in our view, rather concerning.
