Uptrip releases three new cards and designs. In addition, Uptrip hints at a potentially exciting new Senator Status promotion on Instagram.
Two new or old Lufthansa Group destinations?
The two newly released Uptrip cards are Boa Vista (Cape Verde) and Bridgetown (Barbados).
At least Boa Vista could be verified as a destination operated by Edelweiss from Zurich. Starting at the end of October 2026, flights can be booked with a weekly frequency. This card is likely to remain a rare one that can be earned as an Original Card.
Why Bridgetown has made it into the collection is less clear to us. Apparently, Barbados was a Lufthansa destination around 2020/21. However, we were unable to find any current flights or announcements.
Since Uptrip has only existed for about three years, the new card is unlikely to exist as an originally self-earned card. It may, however, become available via the Uptrip Card Mixer. If any of our readers have already seen the card or have further information about the destination, we would be happy to hear from you.
Uptrip releases three new cards: Luanda exists twice
We were surprised to see Luanda appear twice in the Uptrip marketplace. While we have seen design updates before, most notably with Brussels Airlines aircraft, older designs were always replaced. They did not appear separately in the marketplace.
We could imagine that this may be an error in Uptrip’s content management.
The return of the Uptrip Senator status?
wo new posts by Uptrip and Miles & More on Instagram are raising expectations and suggest that Uptrip users may be closer to achieving Senator status than expected. The second post shows a blurred Uptrip app screen with a golden symbol, along with the note: “Coming soon. April 10th.”
If this turns out to be true, we may soon see the return of Uptrip Senators within Lufthansa. The timing would make sense, as Uptrip celebrates its third anniversary in April 2026.
