A New Uptrip Card Market for NFT Cards

by Max

A new project has emerged from within the Uptrip community: the Uptrip NFT Card Market. It is a platform designed to help users acquire missing cards for their Uptrip collections directly via the NFT marketplace OpenSea.

Uptrip Card Market homepage

On the marketplace homepage, users are presented with a clear and intuitive menu. It allows to select either a collection or a specific card type (airline, special card, aircraft, city).

If you choose “Collections,” for example, you will see an overview of all currently active collections. After selecting a specific collection, the tool lists all Uptrip cards required to complete it.

This view also shows which of these cards are currently available on OpenSea and at what price. With another click, users are taken directly to the detailed view and purchase page of the respective NFT card on OpenSea. Anyone who already has an account there can purchase the card immediately and add it to their own collection.

The search works in a similar way via the other card categories, for users who do not want to go through the collection view. This allows card collectors, for example, to get a targeted overview of available cards that are still missing from their collections.

The developer emphasizes that the Uptrip NFT Card Market is still in beta and was only launched recently. In his view, how well the tool will establish itself depends primarily on:

  • the attractiveness of future Uptrip offers
  • users’ openness toward NFTs
  • the further expansion of NFT features by Miles & More

The website is nicely structured and focused on its core functions. However, there are a few areas where we could imagine further improvements in the future:

  • Some card names, especially Special Cards, are not displayed correctly (likely due to inconsistent OpenSea metadata).
  • Prices are shown only in cryptocurrencies; a direct euro comparison is missing.
  • For users without prior NFT experience, additional explanations or help pages would be useful.

As someone who is regularly active on OpenSea myself, I welcome this new project and will continue to keep an eye on it. Trading volume for Uptrip NFTs is still relatively limited, and our analysis from last year is likely still largely valid. This is true even though the recent holiday promotion has made some unusual cards comparatively affordable.

For collectors looking to complete their collections in a targeted way, the Uptrip NFT Card Market is a good place to start. It simplifies the search process. At the same time reduces the risk of accidentally ending up with a fake Uptrip collection.
